The Supporter is a person who is impacted by the participant's behavior and provides ongoing feedback and feedforward to the Participant via the Pulse Feedback process. This would be a similar role as a Rater or Stakeholder in a 360 process.
We generally recommend 5-8 Supporters per goal – people who observe the Participant in action and are willing to spend a few minutes each pulse feedback round to provide comments and help the leader improve his/her effectiveness.
Supporters may include the Participant's Manager, Peers, Direct Reports and Others. A Participant doesn't necessarily need all of those groups. For example, if the Participant's goals are focused more on the dynamics with their team members or leaders at their level in other functions of the business, their Supporters may just be Peers.
Finally, you can have different Supporters for different goals.
